About Cruise Nation Daily

Hey, I’m Cruise Guy — and I’m Completely Obsessed With Cruising.

Over the years I’ve sailed with Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Norwegian, and Virgin, exploring everything from the sun-soaked ports of the Caribbean to the dramatic blue rooftops of Santorini Greece, not to mention the ancient coastlines of the Mediterranean, and plenty of destinations in between. I’ve done inside cabins on a budget and splurged on balconies with views I’ll never forget. I’ve nailed embarkation day and I’ve missed a port tender. I’ve booked a cruise the night before it left port for 7 days, and I’ve even been a Pier Runner in St Martin. I’ve found the best excursion deals and learned the hard way which ones aren’t worth booking.

In other words — I’ve made the mistakes so you don’t have to.

Why I Started Cruise Nation Daily

Here’s what frustrated me after years of cruising: most cruise content online reads like it was written by someone who’s never actually been on a ship. Vague tips. Recycled advice. Brochure-speak that doesn’t tell you anything real.

I wanted something different. A place where cruise lovers — from first-timers nervously booking their first sailing to veterans who live for sea days — could get honest, specific, enthusiastic coverage of everything happening in the cruise world.

That’s what Cruise Nation Daily is. Fresh news, real destination guides, straight-talk reviews, and genuine advice from someone who genuinely loves this industry and everything about it, well, almost everything.

What You’ll Find Here

Cruise News — I follow the cruise industry closely. New ship announcements, itinerary changes, policy updates, port developments — if it matters to cruisers, it’s covered here.

Destination & Port Guides — Real, specific guides to the ports you’ll actually visit. Not “Nassau is a beautiful island” — but where to go, what to book, what to skip, and how to make the most of every port day. These guides are constantly being updated and produced. If you want something added to a guide, send it over via the contact page and I’ll take a look at it.

Cruise Line Coverage — From Royal Caribbean’s latest ships to Carnival’s deals to Norwegian’s Free at Sea promotions to Celebrity’s premium experience, I cover all the major lines with the enthusiasm of a passenger and the eye of someone who pays close attention.

Tips & Planning Guides — The practical stuff that actually helps. How to pick a cabin. Whether the drink package makes sense for you. What to pack. How to save money without sacrificing the experience.

A Few Things You Should Know About Me

I am a cruising superfan, full stop. I think cruise vacations are one of the best travel values on the planet, and I’m not shy about saying so. That enthusiasm is real — everything on this site comes from a genuine love of the cruise experience. We marshal the resources of a team of editors that find, review, and write news related articles and blogs, so that you can learn something about your upcoming cruise and take full advantage. Curious how that actually works, AI and all? I laid it all out on the How We Write page.

That said, I call it like I see it. If a cruise line makes a bad policy call, I’ll say so. If an excursion isn’t worth the price, I’ll tell you. If a ship has a cabin category you should avoid, I won’t shy away. My loyalty is to fellow cruisers first, and I take that VERY seriously.

Let’s Talk Cruising

Whether you’re booking your very first cruise or you’re already planning your next one before you’ve even disembarked from the current one — welcome aboard. You’re in the right place.

Got a question? A tip to share? A cruise experience you think deserves coverage? I’d love to hear from you.

Finally, one more thing, I AM NOT A TRAVEL AGENT. Nor do I ever intend to be. Find yourself a good agent, and you will enjoy cruising even more!
